Before the two met, Lisa was a successful business analyst working in law and finance in the City. Well respected, hard-working, but ultimately unfulfilled. She craved freedom and the ability to express herself creatively. She knew she was capable of so much more.
In another part of London, Hadrian was a product designer for large corporations. He resented designing products no one really needed and were a drain on planetary resources. He disliked the routine and the suffocating bureaucracy that was a barrier to progress.
Both knew: There had to be more to life.
Frustrated, each took action. Lisa went on a course to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, while Hadrian quit his job, bought a motorbike and decided to ride from London to Tokyo.
