Lisa and Hadrian met on a blind date. It went so well that 4 weeks later they left their jobs to go travelling together and haven’t been apart since.
Before meeting, Lisa had been a business analyst in the city. She’d always loved fashion but never found a single brand which showed she meant business but also matched her personality. Hadrian, a product designer with a love of fashion, had entered a Jimmy Choo competition and came second – so the writing was on the wall.
Whilst on their travels in San Francisco, Lisa had taken the afternoon to go clothes shopping but returned empty-handed. Again. That was the moment they decided to do something about it. URBAN GILT was born.
Despite not having a fashion background Lisa and Hadrian knew they would make it happen. Travelling had taught them that they could take on any challenge. Sure enough, even before returning home they set up a makeshift office at their Airbnb kitchen table and they haven’t looked back since.
