Which Has Fewer Calories: Prosecco or Gin & Tonic?

Chloe Prosecco

When you have multiple events to attend you might want to stick to one kind of drink. One that's not too strong so you wake up fresh the next day, and one that won't ruin your workout at the gym.

But the question is, which has fewer calories - Prosecco or Gin & Tonic?

THE VERDICT

We’ve put in the hours and done the research. Here's what you need to know:

LESS SUGAR

As you can see, there's not a huge difference but Prosecco just pips Gin & Tonic to the post. Although it's a bit stronger the sugar intake is lower, and that's a plus whether or not you care about calories.

DON'T WORRY

Of course there are many variables like the brand you're drinking, but if you're more partial to a Gin & Tonic you could go with a slimline tonic or even soda to drop the calories and make it a winning choice.

MIX IT UP

At the end of the day, the point is to have fun. You don’t have to be too restrictive with yourself, just a bit creative. So if you want to jazz it up you could always add some fresh raspberry puree to your Prosecco or cucumber to your G&T and let the good times roll.

Now you know the facts, you can get back to enjoying the event.
